A Monthly Curated Collection with Isabella

Hello & Welcome!
Welcome to the inaugural issue of my newsletter - Well Lived: A Monthly Curated Collection by Isabella. When contemplating what I wanted to share with you, and what I want my work to be about, this phrase kept coming up again and again:
A life well lived.
I am passionate and curious about many things, but when I boil it down - what they all have in common is the pursuit or enjoyment of (what I believe to be) a life well lived. Whether that’s designing your home or dreaming of your next one, exploring new places, or creating memories with loved ones.
I am excited to explore the meaning of this phrase with you, and the different ways to experience it.
But before we get into all of that, a bit about me - I’m a lifelong New Yorker, proud Brooklynite, and lover of beauty in all forms, but especially photography, architecture, and interior design. I love looking at the world from a camera (and ahem, iPhone) lens, learning the history of a place, and traveling near and far. I get excited about hotels and hospitality, small businesses, books, and entrepreneurship. I’m also a self-development girlie, I’m all about continuing to become a better version of myself every day.
I spend my day-to-day in the world of NYC real estate - and some of that will be sprinkled throughout as well.
My goal is to share what’s been inspiring me, to create, and to give back. I hope that what’s in these monthly editions is of value to you.
What you can expect
Look out for monthly content with my latest musings, top finds, and beautiful homes. If you like what you’re seeing and reading and have someone you know would like it too…please share it. A personal share is the greatest compliment.
Thank you for the honor of your time and energy reading.
With love and light,

Well [Inspired]

What’s inspiring me right now? Autumn! The transitional seasons have always been my favorite - from the fall activities (hello apple picking), to the foliage, and cozier fashion (I do love layering…). Most importantly, it’s a time to slow down, reflect, and begin the annual journey inward. I’ve come to understand and appreciate how important it is to tune into the cyclical nature of our world.

A trend that’s been following me around is color drenching. I’m very into a monochrome color palette right now - I’ve begun doing this with my wardrobe, so why not do it with a room or space as well? There is such a sophisticated elegance and thoughtfulness about it, and I’m thinking of ways to transform my own home to add in some color drenching.

I stumbled upon the soft launch of Te Company’s new East Village location in late October
These are the owners, Elena and Federico!
One of my absolute favorites, Te Company is a delightfully charming tea shop in the West Village, specializing in oolong teas. This is one of my happy places. The ambiance is cozy and quaint, the tea and food is divine, and it’s run by a wonderful couple, Elena and Federico. This spot is perfect for catching up with a loved one or old (or new!) friends. Check out their feature in Bon Appetit.
My personal favorites are the Iron Goddess tea and Taiwanese moon cakes.
They also just opened an East Village location at 314 East 9th St this past month.

Say hello to this special home in one of my all-time favorite neighborhoods, Gramercy. Located on NYC’s first-ever designated “Block Beautiful,” 136 East 19th Street, 1W is a spacious 1BD/1.5BTH home with, drumroll please, a sun room and private garden, complete with a water feature. The sun room and garden face south, meaning you’ll have natural light filling your home throughout the day, and with the sun room you can get your daily dose of Vitamin D no matter the season. This is especially important now that the sun has started setting before 5pm!
I also adore a windowed kitchen moment, which feels especially rare in New York City. Check out this townhouse vibe with private garden in one of Manhattan’s loveliest locations.
